Thomas Naselaris will present the defense of his doctoral thesis "Mapping of preferred directions in the primary motor cortex" at 3 p.m. on Wednesday, July 27th, 2005.

Ph.D. candidate Matt Gregas will present his thesis defense on Friday, August 5th at the University of Minnesota's Ford Hall on the East Bank campus. The title of Matt's doctoral thesis in statistics is "Nonparametric estimation of intensity functions."  (The exact time and room number for the event will be announced as available.)
