About the LLI
Lifelong learning grants have also been awarded to University of Minnesota campuses at Crookston and Rochester. The goal of the grants is to support lifelong learning communities for older adults across Minnesota.  The grants have been made possible by the California-based Bernard Osher Foundation. The Osher Lifelong Learning Institute of the University of Minnesota accepted funding from the Osher Foundation to support its volunteer-run program of lifelong learning for older adults. Formerly known as the ElderLearning Institute, the organization has grown to nearly 800 members. Next year will be the 10-year anniversary.
