rossignol13th Annual American Legion and University of Minnesota Lecture in Brain Sciences
Wednesday, April 25, 2007

Speaker: Serge Rossignol, M.D., Ph.D., Director, Center for Research in Neurological Sciences, University of Montreal Faculty of Medicine

Topic:  “Locomotor adaptation after lesions of the nervous system.”

Time: 4:00 - 5:00 p.m.
Note: The Lecture in Brain Sciences was preceded by the presentation of the annual Brain Sciences Scholarship from 3:45 – 4:00 p.m.

According to the Canadian Institutes of Health Research:
“Dr. Serge Rossignol has spent the past 25 years studying spinal cord injuries and the physiological, pharmaceutical and neurobiological approaches used to help their victims. His work has suggested that the spinal cord has intrinsic adaptive mechanisms, leading to the potential for the recovery of locomotion after an injury.”

Location:
